PERICLES

Pericles was formed in 2002 in Santo Domingo, Capital of the Dominican Republic, by childhood friends garfio (Bass/Vocals) and Palero (Drums) And later on Cachapz (Guitar) as a side project. Playing countless shows in their native city and surrounding provinces Pericles proved to be a local favorite in the Dominican Punk/Rock scene, earning respect of fellow musicians as well as a following. By 2005 the band had put out a Spanish EP titled "Juego de Ninos" and an English full Length Titlled "Fuck Your Etiquette", had added a second guitarist; childhood friend MenosGrande, and began the emigration process to the United States one at a time in order to persue the band full time in a place were touring was actually possible.

In the bands short 'career' they have played in the United States (Full US tours and numerous East coast shows), Costa Rica, and Brazil. They have shared the stage with bands like Strung Out and Death By Stereo as well as the legendary Canadian band Belvedere, also serving as hosts to these bands in the Dominican Republic as show promotors. They also did a short run in 2006 in Dominican Republic with the original line up of the underground new york 'squat' punk band Choking Victim and the 2006 Vans Zona Punk Tour featuring the U.S Bombs and Ataris. In 2007 they did a two show tour in Costa Rica playing the biggest ska punk festival in latin america called Skatedra along with the Voodoo Glow Skullz, Cultura Profetica, and Panteon Rococo.

After a 10 day stint in Boston MA's Mad Oak Studios Pericles has given birth to "Citizen World" their second Full Length album. With song theme focusing on subjects that hit close to home like being an immigrant, vegeterianism and personal outakes on life mixed with Raging Punk, Ska and Rock n Roll riffs as well as Palero's fierce drumming the record proves that this band has the music to back up their desire to tour every corner of this country and eventually the world.
